Growing Up in Maine
Growing up in Maine, Dr. McVety was inspired by a family friend who was a dentist. That early influence set him on a path dedicated to clinical excellence and genuine patient care.
He graduated from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, before earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He then completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
Although Dr. McVety performs all aspects of general and comprehensive dentistry, he is highly regarded for his cosmetic and surgical expertise — including veneers, onlays, full mouth rehabilitation, implants, snap-in solutions, full arch replacement, sedation dentistry, and periodontal care.

Home Life
Outside the office, Dr. McVety enjoys running, skiing, traveling, fishing, and paddle board fishing. He's passionate about the Portland restaurant scene — especially gelato — and is an avid photographer both recreationally and professionally. He has a special affinity for alpacas and giraffes (he's met them in person).
